    Zumba Kids is a specially designed class for children. It incorporates the Zumba® Fitness concept with kid friendly songs, routines and games to promote coordination, balance, discipline, creativity, pride, confidence and a healthy lifestyle. The class is taught by Zumba Kids® licensed instructor, Eileen Jahn.

    101121 - Climbing Class

    Rock climbing is not only thrilling, but it builds strength, endurance, and confidence! Participants will learn climbing safety and basic climbing techniques through fun and challenging instruction and games.

    Septemeber 14 will be led by experienced KPR Climbing Instructors at the Harmon Park Activity Center utilizing the traverse wall.

    September 21 will be led by certified UNK Instructors at the University of Nebraska Kearney Wellness Center utilizing the new Climbing Rock Wall.

    101122 - Escape Room

    Are you up to the challenge? We will put our minds and skills to the test by creating our own escape room blueprint and playing tricky brain games. We will be challenged to solve puzzles, crack codes and fnd clues before time runs out in our very own Harmon Park Activity Center Escape Room. The registration deadline is Monday, September 16.

    101125 - CAMP HARMON

    Finish summer strong at “Camp Harmon! Each day will include fun activities such as swimming at Harmon Pool, group activities, and some of the wildest games you have ever played! On Thursday, kids will spend the night for a lock-in at the Harmon Park Activity Center. A Thursday evening meal will be provided, as well as a light breakfast on Friday. Class is M-W from 1:30 -4:30 pm. Thursday is 1:30 pm to Friday at 8:00 am. Harmon Park Activity Center Multi-purpose Basement.

    102221 - U11-U14 Soccer League

    Seven practices / games.Ted Baldwin Park. U11-U14, boys and girls, born between 1/1/06-12/31/09.
    This program will focus on skill development, building player confidence, healthy competition, sportsmanship, and teamwork in a high energy, positive and organized atmosphere. The first 30-45 minutes will be utilized for warm-up, fundamental drills, and team practice. Games will be scheduled during the remaining time. A tournament will be conducted at the end of the season.

    Hired Park and Recreation coaches will lead the teams. Shinguards are mandatory and must be covered by a sock. Players should wear soccer or tennis shoes only with rubber soles/cleats. All players will receive a team t-shirt.

    102239 - Girls Volleyball

    Seven sessions. Horizon Middle School. This program is noted for having a high level of enthusiasm, great organization, and a focus on proper skill development. In a player-centered environment, the emphasis is put on increasing player confdence, building on the enjoyment of the sport, healthy competition, and creating a positive team atmosphere. Players will be placed on teams, with practices and games scheduled each day. Hired Park and Recreation coaches will lead the teams along with full-time KPR sta?. All players will receive a team dri-ft shirt. The first practice for all grades is Saturday, September 21. *The times are subject to slight change depending on the number of participants. A reminder will be mailed to all participants by Sept. 20 regarding the fnal schedule.
